2025 Regimental Staff

Regimental Commander: 1/C Olivia Sacchetti

My name is Olivia Sacchetti, and I will be the Regimental Commander for the 2025-2026 academic year. This position offers me the opportunity to bridge the gap between the Commandant of Cadets staff and the Regiment of Cadets. The RC has the task of voicing for the Regiment of Cadets while also disseminating information coming from Academy Staff. I am very excited to work alongside my RXO and the rest of the Regimental Staff this year!

Academically, I am currently a senior majoring in Marine Science, Safety, and Environmental Protection, with a concentration in Shipboard Health and Safety. I love to spend the majority of my time outside whether it’s hiking, fishing, or just being in nature. I am extremely grateful for the consistent support and motivation my family and friends have given me. They continue to motivate me to be the best version of myself.

Regimental Training Ship Commander: 1/C Brendan MacGillivray

My name is Brendan MacGillivray Jr., and I will be serving as the Regimental Training Ship Commander for the 2025–2026 academic year. In this role, I am responsible for ensuring that all cadets are properly trained in vessel operations and basic safety procedures aboard the Patriot State II, in preparation for both Mini Cruise and Sea Term.

I’m from Bel Air, Maryland, and I’m currently a senior majoring in Marine Transportation. Outside of academics and my regimental responsibilities, I’m a member of the rugby team here on campus and volunteer at my hometown fire department during breaks. I take great pride in both service and leadership, and I’m excited to help prepare cadets for the challenges and responsibilities of life at sea.

Regimental Executive Officer: 1/C Emma Dintino

My name is Emma Dintino, and  I will be the Regimental Executive Officer for the 2025-2026 academic year. In this role, I will be the right-hand woman to my RC, overseeing daily operations, communication, training, discipline, and administration to uphold Academy standards.

A little about myself, I grew up on Cape Cod, Mashpee, Massachusetts. Academically, I am currently a senior majoring in Marine Transportation. I was recruited to play for the women’s lacrosse team as a defender, and I will be the upcoming captain for the spring of 2026. I am a cadet in Army ROTC Charles River Battalion here at MMA and am enlisted in the Massachusetts Army National Guard pursuing a commission as an Army Aviator. I have four older siblings, one of whom is an MMA alum who sparked my interest in the academy. My parents, being my biggest supporters through my academic and military career, I would not be standing where I am today without them, my friends, and family.

Regimental Operations Officer: 1/C McCaela Acord

My name is McCaela Acord, and I will be the Regimental Operations Officer (ROPS) and the Marine Science, Safety, and Environmental Protection Operations Officer (MSSEP Ops) for the 2025-2026 academic year. As ROPS, I am the senior cadet officer responsible for the administration and implementation of the Cadet Discipline System. As MSSEP Ops, I am the senior cadet who oversees all of the operations, events, and Experiential Learning programs within the major.

As a child of two parents in the United States Coast Guard, I have been comfortable with the regimental lifestyle while traveling the country at a young age. With my positions, I want to help others succeed in the regiment and in academics, while also preparing them to be disciplined and maintain integrity in whatever path they choose after graduation. I work as an Admissions Ambassador and as a Peer Tutor for the Academy, and I want to continue being as involved as I can during my final year here.

Regimental Adjutant: 1/C Riley Fox

My name is 1/C Riley Fox, and I am the Regimental Adjutant for the 2025-2026 year. My role is to ensure accountability for all cadets on campus and to oversee the watchstanding system. My academic major is Marine Transportation, and I am a member of the women’s lacrosse team.

Regimental Training and Retention Officer: 1/C Sydney McCarthy

My name is Sydney McCarthy, and I am honored to serve as the Regimental Training and Retention Officer for the 2025–2026 academic year. In this role, I have the privilege of supporting and mentoring cadets across the academy, helping them navigate their personal and professional development.

I’m originally from Lynn, Massachusetts. Academically, I am a senior majoring in Marine
Science, Safety, and Environmental Protection, with a minor in Environmental Health and Safety and a concentration in Shipboard Health and Safety. In addition to my academic and leadership
responsibilities, I proudly serve as a captain of the Women’s Volleyball Team. I’m deeply grateful for the unwavering support of my family, especially my parents and older brother who continuously inspire me to strive for excellence in everything I do.

Cadet Chief Mate: 1/C Sydney Sawyer

My name is Sydney Sawyer, and I’m honored to serve as the Cadet Chief Mate for the 2024–2025 academic year. In this role, I’ll be responsible for coordinating daily watch rotations and maintenance operations aboard the ship, while also helping to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone on board.

I am from Sandwich MA on Cape Cod. I’m currently a senior majoring in Marine Transportation with a minor in International Maritime Business. Outside of academics, I stay active as a captain of the Track and Field team and enjoy spending time at the gym.

I’m looking forward to the year ahead and can’t wait to share my passion for life on the water with the rest of my peers!

Cadet Chief Engineer: 1/C Ashley Haller

My name is Ashley Haller, and I will be the Cadet Chief Engineer for the 2025–2026 academic year. In this role, I lead the engineers aboard the T.S. Patriot State, ensuring safe and efficient operations while mentoring younger cadets as they build their technical skills. I also work closely with the ship’s licensed engineers, serving as a key link between the Cadets and Staff.

Outside of my MMA life, I grew up in Norwalk, Connecticut, and have always loved being by the water whether that’s fishing, swimming, or simply enjoying the coast. I’m passionate about engineering and about learning in general. I also have one older sister with very different interests, but we share the same drive to push ourselves to our highest potential.

Student Government Association President: 1/C Nolan Sherry

My name is Nolan Sherry. I’m the current President of the Student Government Association here at the Academy for the 2024-2025 academic year, and I’m also a senior studying marine engineering! It is my responsibility to oversee all operations of Student Government here on campus and help guide disciplinary hearings with members of the office of the Commandant.

I’m from Madison, Connecticut, and I’ve always felt a deep connection to the Ocean and all things related to it. I love to surf, sail, swim and study the waters where I live. I also love to climb and play soccer through the clubs here at the Academy. I believe that to lead others to improvement I must first be able to lead myself to improvement, I am excited to be a part of the Regimental Staff this year!

Regimental Academics Operations Officer: 1/C Samuel Toerne

My name is Samuel Toerne, and I will be serving as the Regimental Academic Operations Officer for the 2025-2026 academic year. In this role, I have the privilege of being the primary liaison for academic affairs within the Regiment of Cadets. I collaborate with the Commandant’s Office, academic departments, Career Services, and Admissions.

Outside of my regimental responsibilities, I am a senior in Energy Systems Engineering. I grew up in Danvers Massachusetts and enjoy hiking, drawing, and 3D printing. I am passionate about both engineering and the outdoors, always eager to learn and engage with the world around me.

Regimental Military Veterans Liaison Officer: 1/C Luke Kahrimanovic

My name is Luke Kahrimanovic. I am a senior studying Marine Transportation and am from Cedar Point, North Carolina. This year I have the pleasure of serving as the Regimental Military and Veterans Liaison for the 2025-2026 academic year. I love this position because it allows me to use my knowledge and connections I have made in the military to support and benefit others who have or are currently serving our country.

Outside of the academy, I enjoy hitting the beach, going out on the boat, playing pickleball after a lift, and being active with friends. This will be an exciting year and I look forward to meeting new people and taking on the challenges that lay ahead. Go Bucs! 

Regimental Global Engagement Officer: 1/C Isaiah Cruz

My name is Isaiah Cruz, and I’ll be serving as the Regimental Global Engagement Officer for the 2025–2026 academic year. In this role, I help connect cadets with global opportunities and promote cultural awareness within the Regiment.

I’m from South Dennis, MA and currently a senior majoring in International Maritime Business. Outside of the academy, I enjoy traveling to different places, playing/watching sports, and I enjoy spending time with friends and family. Knowing that I’ve had my family’s support throughout this journey, has been my biggest motivation to keep striving for greatness here at the academy and beyond. I’m excited to help cadets grow into leaders and show how this academy truly changed my life. 

Regimental Community Service Officer: 1/C Shayla Narodowg

My name is Shayla Narodowg, and I will be the Regimental Community Service Officer for the 2025-2026 academic year. In this role I have the opportunity to coordinate community service events that cadets will participate in and hopefully find fun and engaging events for everyone.

Outside of my position, I grew up in Wellington, Colorado, North of Denver. Academically, I am currently a senior majoring in Emergency Management with a minor in Marine Science Safety Environmental Protection. I love playing volleyball, and am going on to my third season as the Captain. I have two siblings who are both in the Navy and two parents who motivate me to do my best. I am eager to work alongside my peers to make service a valued and enjoyable part of our cadet experience.

Regimental Intramural Officer: 1/C Gavin Hauschild

My name is Gavin Hauschild, and I am the Regimental Intramurals Officer (RIMO) for the 2025-2026 school year. I am responsible for coordinating the intramurals program, and bringing out the competitive spirit of all cadets.

Academically, I major in Emergency Management, and am taking tests for FDNY post grad. I grew up in Jeffersonville NY, a small town famous for hosting the original 1969 Woodstock concert. I am an avid outdoorsman, and spend all of my time hunting or thinking about hunting. I am excited to come back to Massachusetts, and get to work.

Regimental Athletics Officer: 1/C Joseph Howard

My name is Joseph Howard, and for the 2025–2026 academic year, I will serve as the Regimental Athletics Officer. In this role, I have the honor of acting as the bridge between athletics at Massachusetts Maritime Academy and the Regiment of Cadets.

At the Academy, I am a wide receiver for the football team and represent my position group on the team’s Leadership Council. I am pursuing a major in Marine Transportation and currently serve as a 3rd Lifeboat Rate aboard the T.S. Patriot State.

Outside of the Academy, I am from Thornton, Colorado, and am working toward the personal goal of summiting every 14,000-foot peak in the state. 

 I am proud to have the opportunity to represent the Buccaneers this year both as a player and as a student, and I look forward to a dominant season for Buccaneer athletics.

First Battalion Commander: 1/C Dylan Murphy

Hello, my name is Dylan Murphy and I’m the first Battalion commander for the 2025-26 academic year. My staff and I aim to train, guide and mentor all incoming cadet candidates as well as make strong leaders out of the 2/C cadre. We will accomplish these goals by upholding the highest standards and making life long bonds amongst leaders. 

Second Battalion Commander: 1/C William Eltringham

My name is William Eltringham, and I will be the 2nd Battalion Commander for the 2025-2026 academic year. Through this role, I have the privilege of overseeing the training, leadership development, and operational readiness of 2nd Battalion throughout Orientation and the school year, ensuring the success of incoming and current cadets.  

Originally, I am from Boca Raton, Florida. I made the decision to attend the Academy due to its hands-on curriculum and direct leadership development. Academically, I will be entering my senior year pursuing a major in Marine Science, Safety, and Environmental Protection with a minor in Marine Biology. Following graduation, I aim to commission into the United States Air Force.
